ASSISTED HEALTH
Today, the Rodas Livres Project sealed a very important partnership. From the moment I hit the road I’ll be covered for all problems relating to health by Travel Ace, which specializes in travel assistance.
Wonderful! I can not imagine a better solution to bring some
reassurance to someone who will face the dangers of traffic, bad weather, alien culinary and mosquitoes with know-how in international contamination.
With this sponsorship, I’ll have the support of a call center 24 hours and a complete network of hospitals prepared to meet me around the world. In an emergency a phone contact will be enough to guide me to the nearest hospital network. And when I get to this hospital a team will be waiting for me with all my information and prepared to treat me, without my having to pay anything for this service.
And the coolest thing is being supported by an expert: Ace Travel Assistance is the leader in travel assistance inLatin America, with 30 years of experience and 10 million travelers around the world. This makes our project even more professional! Thanks to my friend Ricardo Miura, who suggested that I presented this partnership to Ace Travel, and thanks aswell to Bruno Brandão, Travel Ace’s marketing supervisor.
This week I also attended to the meeting of CouchSurfing, which happens every Tuesday night at Bar Açai, in Rua Augusta. It was very nice. CouchSurfing is a worldwide network of exchanges between travelers and hosts. And it’s very organized, you only make friends if you attend personally to the events in order to strengthen the credibility of the initiative. I’ve made two friends and I’ll go back there next Tuesday.
Today I also started my re-unionization in the Journalists’ Union of São Paulo, as I intend to get a international journalist card, which certainly will serve to open some doors when I’ll want to report outside the borders ofBrazil. My previous unionization expired I think about 10 years …
Also, I reincluded Angola in the route. I had excluded it for fear of
landmines that are everywhere in the soil of the country. But then the option would be to enter the territory of the Democratic Republic of Congo (former Zaire). Wow, no… Angola is still better – and I had been very sorry to delete it, because it is a brother and Lusophone country. Now everything is back to normal.
Finally I am announcing the sale of my car, my darling black Parati, old friend of so many carnivals. These things hurt … But you can not make an omelette without breaking eggs, right? Then let’s go ahead, because one must always move forward with either four, two or zero wheels.

Hi would you mind stating which blog platform you’re using? I’m planning to start my own blog soon but I’m having a tough time making a decision between BlogEngine/Wordpress/B2evolution and Drupal. The reason I ask is because your layout seems different then most blogs and I’m looking for something completely unique. P.S Apologies for getting off-topic but I had to ask!
Hi. It’s WordPress. Good luck!
